Strategic Foresight and Innovation Dialogues at the Global Innovation Forum 2024

Malta, October 2024 – our Director, Dr. Rafael Popper, participated in the Global Innovation Forum 2024 (GIF 2024), held from 28 to 30 October 2024 in Valletta, Malta. Organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the Government of Malta, this prestigious event brought together nearly 500 participants from over 70 countries, representing academia, industry, and government.

Thought Leadership on Strategic Foresight
Our Director made significant contributions to the forum through two key engagements:

• Serving as a speaker in the expert panel, “Digital Futures: From Vision to Impact”, exploring how digital innovation and strategic foresight can drive meaningful change across societies.
• Leading a Masterclass on Strategic Foresight, introducing ITU’s methodology in an interactive session. Key topics included environmental scanning, scenario planning, and action plan development, offering practical approaches to addressing future challenges and opportunities.

These sessions provided a platform to engage with global thought leaders, share experiences, and contribute to important conversations on shaping a digitally inclusive future.
